Shiloh Community Garden | Youth Volunteers

We’re looking for youth to help out during our Garden Days at Shiloh Community Garden — a great way to get outside, learn something new, and give back to the neighborhood.

Volunteer Job Description


GARDEN TASKS

  • Watering, weeding, and planting

  • Spreading mulch or compost

  • Harvesting produce

  • Helping maintain garden beds

TOOL AND SUPPLY SUPPORT

  • Setting up tools and stations at the start of the

  • Assisting with cleanup and putting tools away

  • Organizing gloves, watering cans, etc.

 

Special projects

  • Building or painting signs

  • Helping design garden layout maps

  • Supporting seasonal projects (like seed saving or compost bin turns)

eVENT & WORKSHOP HELP

  • Greeting volunteers and signing people in

  • Handing out snacks or water

  • Helping younger kids with simple tasks

  • Supporting special events (e.g., garden tours, harvest festivals)
